We have been living it up in Saltaire for about 6 months now and from day one have felt very welcomed by the local community. We’ve made some great new friends who have helped us settle in and find our feet.
After falling in love with the area, we were ready to give something back to the community who have made us feel so at home. Hirst Wood Nursery School, one of the oldest nurseries in Saltaire opening in 1931, were in need of a rebrand and wanted to look at new ways to bring more children into the school.
When we went to visit the nursery, we were in awe of the place. The staff there are lovely people who care so much about the children and their education. Each classroom has its own theme and has been decorated beautifully. We didn’t want to leave! In its early years, the nursery was open-air and known locally as the Sunshine School. Hirst Wood Nursery is still very well known for its immaculate outdoor play area, giving the children plenty of access to the area throughout the day.
This is a great opportunity for us to give something back to Saltaire. We will be spending lots of time with Hirst Wood Nursery to come up with powerful campaigns surrounding the local area. We’re very excited to build a long-lasting relationship with Hirst Wood Nursery and hope to see them grow for another 87 years.
